Summary Explanation/Background:
The City of Pompano Beach purchased the Denny’s property, which is adjacent to the new Charlotte J.Burrie site. Consequently, the Denny’s site was unified with the existing Burrie site. Because there are unsightly overhead FPL power lines traversing in the middle of the unified sites, the City proposed and is proceeding to install the overhead FPL lines underground. Unfortunately, in doing so it was realized the existing FPL transformers are not located within an existing FPL easement. As such, FPL insisted the City dedicate this area as an FPL easement prior to proceeding with installing the overhead powerlines underground.
