Summary Explanation/Background:

The passage of this ordinance will allow the City to continue to utilize this property as public parking as this area will continue to be instrumental during the continuing development on the barrier island in the Pompano Pier area, as well as during the period that the City continues to expand its own parking infrastructure. The property is situated between Pompano Beach Boulevard to the east and A1A to the west just north of Atlantic Boulevard. This property is also used daily for the construction workers and will continue be instrumental during future construction considered on the Oceanside lot directly to the west across A1A. This property has a total of approximately 250 parking spaces.  The proposed agreement will continue to provide JJ Land Realty, LLC with 45% of gross revenues earned on the site.
