Summary Explanation/Background:

The City has negotiated an agreement with Broward County to exchange the northwestern 2,637 square feet of the Pompano Ford Lincoln, Inc. property at NE 16th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33064 Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) folio 484319000240 the City is purchasing with Broward County for the southern 3,936 square feet of the County’s Master Pump Station property located at 2600 NE 16th Avenue BCPA folio 484224080610, located directly west of the Pompano Ford Lincoln property. 

This will allow the City to build an access road to provide neighborhood access from the west to the Charlotte J. Burrie Civic Center at 2669 N Federal Highway. The agreement will be considered for approval by the Broward County Board of Commissioners at the September 10th County Commission meeting.

The BCPA information and aerials of both the properties are included as Exhibit 1.
A rendering showing the portion of each property being exchanged is included as Exhibit 2.

Staff is requesting City Commission approval to enter into a property exchange agreement with Broward County.
