Summary Explanation/Background:
On September 8, 2020, The City Commission approved the Sustainability Strategy, satisfying a high priority Strategic Plan Action Item. The Sustainability Strategy includes an eight-step work plan. Step one is to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory of public facilities, identify our emissions baseline, and establish reduction goals and recommendations. In August, we received notification that the City was selected to receive the Community Planning and Technical Assistance Grant to fund this study as a contracted service. It is now necessary to execute the attached agreement so we may begin receiving reimbursements for this work as it occurs.
