Summary Explanation/Background:
The City of Pompano Beach wishes to maintain support for a previously established formal process, whereas FDOT designs and provides design services for all MPO funded projects on an all-systems roadway. With this Resolution, the City of Pompano Beach will join the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization in its quest to obtain the necessary funding from FDOT. Recently, FDOT made a decision to stop funding design and construction, engineering and inspection services putting a burden on cities.
