Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff recommends authorizing the proper officials to execute the agreement with the Civil Engineering Inspection (CEI) firm Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLC. The Term of this Contract shall be for an initial period of five (5) years from the date of execution by both the City and the Consultant.
Background:
The City of Pompano Beach (the City) approved the top-ranking professional consulting firms (Dec 8th, 2020 item 21-115) who responded to RLI T-28-20 entitled “Continuing Contract for Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services.” The Ordinance No. 2021-53 approved agreement execution for seven of the eight firms in the top ranking. (Passed first reading 03/23/2021 and Passed second reading 04/27/2021)
Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLC a Construction Engineering Inspections (CEI) consultant was included in the approved ranking of eight firms (Dec 8th, 2020 item 21-115) and the request for agreement execution was not submitted, because additional time was needed to verify the required contract documents.
