RFP E-20-21 was issued to obtain responses from firms to provide janitorial services to the City for selected City buildings. City Commission approval of the ranking order presented by the Selection/Evaluation Committee is requested, and authorization is requested for appropriate City staff to negotiate and enter into a contract with the highest ranked firm, Sunshine Cleaning Systems, Inc. Further authorization is requested to continue with the succeeding ranked firms, should an impasse occur in the negotiations with the recommended firm. The General Services Department contacted thirteen (13) local janitorial service companies to inform them about this project. This solicitation was assigned a 10% Local Business participation goal. The recommended firm has committed to meeting that goal. Commission approval is requested.
