Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is seeking City Commission approval to award Work Authorization No. 2 to Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. (CGA) to assist the City with Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services related to the SR A1A Streetscape Improvements project. This project is on a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) roadway (see Location Map - Phase II). Staff work with FDOT counterparts to secure a grant in the amount of $139,180.00. The grant requires that the City retained a third-party FDOT-certified firm to provide CEI services. CGA is currently under contract with the City (continuing services) and is a FDOT-certified firm. To offset the costs of this expense, staff reworked Keith, Inc. agreement and reduced their scope, which resulted in sufficient funds to cover this expense. Staff recommends approval.
