Bid award is recommended to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Weekley Asphalt Paving Inc., at a cost of $1,440,547.00, based on estimated annual quantities. The General Services Department performed outreach to local pavement and roadway construction companies to inform them about this project. A total of twenty-four (24) local companies were notified. This solicitation was assigned a required Local Business participation goal of 10%. Weekley Asphalt Paving Inc., has committed to meeting that goal. City Commission approval of this contract award is requested.
