Summary Explanation/Background:
The purpose of this agenda item is to seek City Commission acceptance and approval of The Air Park Master Plan Update (MPU) which provides analyses and recommendations related to the long-term development of the airport. This includes enhancements to safety and operational efficiency as well as plans for financial and environmental sustainability. The plans are prepared according to FAA and FDOT guidelines and requirements. The Air Park Advisory Board reviewed the MPU at their September 7, 2021 meeting and unanimously voted in favor of adopting/approving the MPU. The Plan’s 12-page Executive Summary is included in the agenda item backup documentation immediately following the proposed resolution. City Staff recommends accepting and approving the Air Park MPU.
