Summary Explanation/Background:

1621 S Dixie Hwy., located in Pompano Beach is pursuing permitting for a total site development. The project, “Avira East”, is comprised of two mixed use buildings and a 1-story amenity building and associated site construction. The proposed design increases the City’s wastewater area flow by 25% which requires the City to upgrade the service area pump Lift Station to accommodate the excess and existing service area demands. The owner has agreed compensate the City 25% of the total cost of $774,715 for design and construction of the facility. The shared venture allows for major site development at the subject property and improves City infrastructure to better meet the wastewater demands of the service area. Based upon acceptance of the Contribution In Aid of the Construction Agreement and a contributory payment of $193,678.75, the Utilities Department recommends approval.
