Summary Explanation/Background:
On May 26, 2021, the Planning & Zoning Board established Zoning in Progress on proposed zoning code text amendments regarding city policy on housing and deconcentration of poverty, which is set to expire after six months, on November 26, 2021. When Zoning in Progress is declared, no applications for permits and development orders shall be accepted or issued which could result in the development of a property if in conflict with the proposed text amendments.
Due to continued study, research and input from sources, staff requires additional time to finalize city policy and to propose revisions of the city’s code. The Zoning in Progress imposed by this resolution is extended for an additional three months from November 26, 2021, expiring on February 26, 2022.
