summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Staff is seeking City Commission approval of a Resolution to execute an assignment and assumption agreement between the City of Pompano Beach ("City") and the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"). This Resolution is necessary to allow the City to assign a contract to the CRA to manage and oversee proposed improvements on Pier Street (See Location Map) to be carried out by MBR Construction. Procurement for MBR Services was inadvertently issued on behalf to the City rather than the CRA. The City Attorney recommended that the City Commission can approve an assignment of the contract instead of the City and CRA entering into an interlocal agreement. Staff recommends approval.
