summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
This work authorization is to develop a Vulnerability Assessment that details the exposure of facilities, critical infrastructure, roadways and neighborhoods to climate change stressors such as sea level rise, precipitation events, and groundwater table changes. This scope of work is contingent upon receipt of a Resilient Florida Grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for $185,000. Therefore, no work shall commence until the grant agreement is authorized. A detailed scope of work, inclusive of Tasks, Deliverables, Fees, and Schedule is provided in Exhibit "A" attached.

On September 8, 2020, The City Commission approved the Sustainability Strategy, satisfying a high priority Strategic Plan Action Item. The Sustainability Strategy includes an eight-step work plan. Step 1 was to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory of public facilities, identify our emissions baseline, and establish reduction goals and recommendations. Step 2 is this Vulnerability Assessment, and step three is the recently approved (October 26, 2021) Project Portfolio. All of which have been grant funded.
