Summary Explanation/Background:

Invitation to Bid (ITB) E-23-21 was issued to obtain bids from qualified roofing companies to establish a contract for replacing the City Hall roof.  Approval of bid award is recommended and authorization is requested for appropriate City staff to negotiate and enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Advanced Roofing, Inc., at a cost of $460,181.00. The General Services Department performed outreach to local roofing contractors to inform them about this project.  A total of eleven (11) local companies were notified.  This solicitation was assigned a 10% Local Business participation goal.  The recommended bidder has committed to meeting this goal.  City Commission approval of this bid award is requested.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $460,181.00 from budgeted funds in account 302-7302-530.65-12   Capital Projects Fund.
