Staff is seeking City Commission approval of a Resolution to execute an agreement with Florida Power & Light (FPL) and to authorize payment in the sum of $159,350.53. This agreement will allow FPL to conduct light conversion efforts in the Cypress Lakes neighborhood (see Location Map). The funds are a customer contribution to offset costs to install cables and supporting equipment. FPL will remove 91 old sodium halide fixtures and replace them with 144 new (decorative) LED-based units similar to those installed in other parts of the City. Staff recommends approval.
