summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The resolution is approving entering into the first amendment agreement with the City of Lighthouse Point to host an annual Nautical Flea Market.  The cities have mutually agreed to extend the original Agreement for an additional five (5) year period, ending October 12, 2027 under the same terms and conditions.  The two cities have been hosting the Annual Nautical Flea Market since 2007 and are entering into the first amendment agreement to the interlocal agreement to continue hosting the event.  The event will be held in Pompano Community Park the last weekend in January for a five-year period.   As in the past both cities split the gross revenues less expenses in an equal (50%) manner.

We received a letter from the City of Lighthouse Point informing us they are interested in partnering with us to continue hosting the Annual Nautical Flea Market.  The City of Lighthouse Point will have the agreement on their September 22, 2022, City Commission Meeting.
