summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

On February 23, 2021 City Commission approved the ranking order for RFP E-07-21, Parking Management Services and authorized staff to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm, One Parking Inc. On or about May 3, 2021 the City entered into a Service contract providing parking operations management services to the City for its on-street and surface lot parking spaces and the Pier Parking Garage. Since the Contract’s commencement the City has exceeded the number of parking spaces to be managed by fifty-five percent through its incorporation of six new parking areas and related parking needs generated by several new and emerging commercial ventures.

The City now requires additional resources at a greater cost to address the increased demand.  The initial 3 year contract remaining term provided for $1,328,339 ($1,640,594, if included the valet option which we never activated).  Please find the executed agreement and all supporting exhibits herein.

Origin of request for this action: Parking Operations

Fiscal impact and source of funding: Anticipated not to exceed $1,617,582 for remaining contract term of 3 years, as not expected to activate valet services.  Parking Fund - 472-4710-545.31-60
