Summary Explanation/Background:
At the meeting of January 28, 2020, the Commission passed an Ordinance that made it mandatory to file campaign finance reports electronically. On February 23, 2021, the Commission approved to use a specific electronic candidate financial reporting software, which was made available through an Agreement with the Broward County Supervisor of Elections (SOE). VR System, Inc. created the software, and the City has used it since then.
Recently, the SOE updated the original Agreement with clarifications to the terms and conditions. These updates do not affect the original Agreement and will maintain the City's access to VR System's filing software. The cost of this Agreement is $3,644 per year. Therefore, we recommend approving this Agreement.
