Summary Explanation/Background:
The City entered into the original agreement via Resolution 2023-134, and both parties have mutually agreed to extend the original agreement for an additional one-year period. The licensee will offer a program at North Ocean Park from June 3 - August 16, 2024, which will provide instruction in ocean awareness and surfing fundamentals to include such topics as waves, tides, marine biology, coastal ecology and beach profiles. The licensee shall pay the City a fee of $4,125 as compensation for the use of the City’s property and services.
