Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is seeking approval of a contract between the City of Pompano Beach (“City”) and West Construction, Inc. (“West”) in the sum of $1,463,200 to provide turnkey services for the G. O. Bond funded project “Beach Lifeguard Headquarters Renovation” (see Location Map). This project was duly advertised as T-03-19 Ocean Rescue Building Interior Upgrades and Construction of Lifeguard Stations and West was the only responsive, responsible bidder. Attached is a copy of the contract documents including the proposed Scope of Work (Exhibit “A”) submitted by the firm and reviewed by staff for accuracy and completeness.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $1,463,200, accounts 320-7655-522.65-03 OUTSIDE CONSULTING/DESIGN ($125,000), 320-7655-522.65-12 CONSTRUCTION ($1,305,000) and 302-7589-572.65-11 ($33,200.00).
